Day 26 – Magnolia

18 Oct 2019

Fact of the day-

The name Magnolia first appeared in the Genera in C1700 and there have been fossils of the flower dating back 20 millions years.

It is a tough and hardy flower with many meanings and symbolization behind it which I researched at length and was one of the reasons it was selected to form part of the Peony and Magnolia brand.

I have always been in awe of the flowers has they are bold and to put it simply, because of some of these values resonate with myself and how I operate and deliver HR.

I like the symbolic elements associated with strength, self-esteem and self-respect. Having a belief and strength in one’s own character, having dignity and showing nobility.

I heard some very exciting news today that a good friend has decided to take the brave move and start freelancing. We nicknamed ourselves ‘twinny’ whilst studying for our MA’s and I am incredibly pleased at the thought we will be able to work together in the future, her knowledge and experience in L&OD is first class. She has taken a very noble step forward and hope that she will join the P&M family as we head into 2020.
